  CGCVB is a church diversly rich in culture, race, ethnicity, and ages.  This diversity is evidenced in our manner of worship in our church services.  We love to come together as one in praise and worship to our Lord Jesus Christ and to experience the love, joy, and peace that accompany His presence.  We believe in worshipping God with our whole hearts in the gifts and the moving of the Holy Spirit.  It is our desire to give God the praise of which He is worthy.

We also love to come together to study the Bible which is the inspired Word of God.  We believe in studying the entirety of the Word of God from the book of Genesis to Revelation.  The Old Testament is a type and shadow of what is revealed in the New Testament.  One side is not complete without the other.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” – 2 Timothy 3:16, 17

We believe that one can receive God's free gift of salvation if they will simply confess Jesus as their own Lord and Savior and accept His redemptive work through the Blood at Calvary's Cross and will repent of their sins.

The Bible then teaches us to grow up from spiritual infancy to maturity in Christ Jesus.  The primary focus of our studies is spiritual growth in the Stature of the Lord Jesus Christ through repentance.  We also emphasize the importance of studying God’s Word and the acts of prayer.

“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.” – Ephesians 4:13-15
