Ministries

Our Ministries:

    The purpose of the ministries of CGCVB are to share the Love, Light, and Life of the Lord Jesus Christ to all.  Our primary focus is to bring individuals closer to God through the ministry of God's Word and Spirit and by sharing His Love through good deeds, as the Lord leads.  We are also very active in raising funds for CGCII World Wide Missions, that all the world may also have the opportunity to know the Love of God.

Adult Ministries:

  In addition to our regular church services, we provide adult Sunday School classes for in depth studies into the Word of God and various Bible studies where we study foundational principles of the Word of God. Additional adult ministries are available throughout the year, as the Lord leads.

Young Adults Ministries:

Our Young Adults (ages 18 to 40(ish), single and married) meet every Sunday morning at 10:00 am for Sunday School as well as on various occasions for additional Bible studies as well as times of fun and fellowship.

Youth Ministries:

We provide as much for our youth as we possibly can.  In their weekly Sunday school class, our youth receive lessons from the Word of God in a manner that is relevant to their present culture.  On Friday nights, our youth group "EXODUS" get together to hang out and enjoy various activities and games, eat snacks, and have a time of studying and talking about how the Bible relates to their lives.  Our youth also enjoy other various regularly scheduled activities such as local Christian concerts and hanging out at various local sites.  They also enjoy attending our annual CGCII youth convention in Indiana and other youth conferences at various CGC churches.

Children's Ministries:

 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 19:14)  Ministering to little children is important to Jesus and to us.  At CGCVB, we have great teachers who have big hearts for the children.  We offer Sunday school classes for  children so they can enjoy fun games and activities while learning about Jesus.

Nursery:

    For your convenience, we provide nursery facilities during our church service.  We also provide a Sunday school class for the little ones from infant to age three where they can hear Bible lessons and sing songs.

Soul - Journers:

This is a school year program for 4 - 11 year old students. It is fast paced and full of faith-building activities and crafts aimed at strengthing students understanding of biblical principles and how they apply to them at home, at school and while having fun. We encourage ROLLS (Respect one another, Obey those in authority, Listen carefully, Learn wisely, and above all SAFETY FIRST). We strive to help them make learning a living experience with God so they can be followers of Jesus and be his lights in this world.
